The Sweet Boy Finds Trouble

Aaron loves his dinosaur ride-on toy.  He balances on it just fine and has figured out how to make it roll too, but only backwards!

Oh it's so fun to make noise!  Aaron will bang anything and everything on whatever he find.  His favorite is a tigger rattle on the washer and dryer.  :)

We are having a little trouble convincing Aaron to eat table food, but he certainly loved making a mess of this blueberry muffin the other day.  I'm not sure how much made it into his mouth though.

Now puff corn and baby puffies/cheerios, etc. are no problem.  He gobbles them up with lightning speed!  And he doesn't bother to wait until the last piece is gone before shoveling in more, as you can see.  I found him the other day in the middle of the kitchen with his snack container he'd snatched out of the diaper bag putting fistfuls into his mouth... and all over the floor.

Aaron has had a "thing" for the bathroom for a while now.  Usually he likes to play with the scale or push all the shampoo bottles off the edge into the tub (there's that noise thing again!), but he's now discoverd the toilet paper!  I stopped him before he could get it, but you better believe he'd have had it everywhere if there was any hanging down.
Aaron has also discovered the DVD player and TV.  He enjoys pushing buttons, a LOT, so there's no surpise there.  This morning Maggie and Daddy were watching a cartoon while waking up, but Aaron kept turning off the TV on them!  It's fun to see how his mind works and he's exploring his environment and learning how things work... but I think he's going to have some irritated sisters for a while until he learns what's acceptable and what's not allowed.  :)

Minnesota Visit

A few weeks ago we took a short trip to Minnesota.  Tim's parents are moving out of their parsonage to make room for their new pastor!  Tim's dad will be retiring in about a year.  We came home with a LOT of stuff.  Some of it was Tim's old junk treasures from childhood, but we're most excited to have a guest bed and a dining room table that has enough chairs for all of us plus guests!  (My parents can vouch for the nicer accomodations now - haha!)  We had the chance to see most of the little cousins, but Aunt Heidi had a bad cold so we couldn't see the Kruegers.  Here are some pictures from our much-needed visit.

Okay, does this make Aaron look enormous or is it just me?  His cousin, Peyton, is 6 months older and quite a bit tinier.

Even A's head is bigger!

Just tilt your head to the right, please!  Aaron wins the wrestling match!

We had a little time to wait while everyone else arrived.  Somehow they didn't follow Tim and went a VERY long way.

Maggie wanted to touch the horses.  Mom was a little nervous with that being an electric fence...

Cousins Andy and Matt came along to see the tractors.

Quite a large wheel on this one!

The girls got a ride with a friend of Tim's from his MN days.  Holly has a pretty devoted fan base around our house!

This picture makes Maggie look so big.  Pretty sure this is the only time that's going to happen...

Finally the moment these girls had been waiting for!  Thanks to the Melcherts for the farm field trip.
