Has it been 4 weeks already!?

Today Aaron is 4 weeks old! Can you believe it? These 4 weeks have gone so fast. Aaron spends most of his day sleeping - that's his way of escaping from his doting sisters! When we can find a quiet, calm moment Aaron enjoys tummy time and is getting really good at holding up his head and looking around. He's very interested in his surroundings. We love to see those beautiful blue eyes taking everything in! At his 1 month doctor appointment today (2 days early), Aaron weighed in at 10 pounds! He was about 6 pounds when we left the hospital 3 weeks and 5 days ago, so he's gained 4 pounds in just as many weeks. WOW! Did I mention he's a champion eater?! At birth he was in the 10th percentile and now his weight falls into the 60th percentile. He's also 22 1/4 inches long. He's leaping up the growth chart in that category, as well as in head size too. Here are a few photos of my baby boy, who's already growing up way too fast!

Maggie wanted to read to her brother after tummy time.

All my babies!

Aaron's official 4 week shot. He's getting his chunk on! :)

Sunday night we all tried to go to Tim's softball game. Unfortunately, it was 93 degrees and there was no shade. We didn't even make it to the start, and I hauled all the kids back home. We got in the van at 6:10 and had to be back to pick up Tim by 7:15. I promised the girls a popsicle to cool off, and they needed a bath. So, I popped them in the tub to enjoy their treat and sat on the bathroom floor to supervise while I nursed Aaron. When he was finished, I washed up the girls in record time, brushed teeth, got them jammied, and hustled them back into the van to pick up Daddy. We got to the field at 7:10! I made it! I was so proud of us for getting all our stuff done and without any issues, tantrums, or fights. But... then we had to wait until 7:40 for the game to finish! That's life, huh?

The girls love this alligator teeter totter. It's not ours though. The family that lived here last year left it for us to use. This is definitely on our list of things to buy once we get settled. Soon... very soon!

Fourth of July in Sheboygan

We took a very last minute trip to WI over the long Fourth of July weekend. No one knew we were coming, and it was a lot of fun to surprise them. Of course that meant they weren't home when we arrived! We all really enjoyed probably the last spontaneous trip like that we'll ever take. Now it'll require a lot more planning, etc. for Tim to get away!

Happy 4th!
The parade was great and the girls loved it, but it was blazing hot nice and early for us.

There's nothing better than two cute little girls dancing together to the marching bands.

Aww... ;-)

The girls got to experience the full Sheboygan 4th and we went to the beach for the fireworks. Auntie Jessi and Dylan even went out and got some sand toys for them to take along.

I just enjoyed sitting and letting someone else take care of things. I did this the entire weekend and it never got old! Aaron seemed to love our new ring sling. He loves to snuggle, which is just fine by me!

Maggie was enthralled with the fireworks other people were shooting off.

Norah squeezed her way in here between Uncle Jake and his girlfriend Megan. She did this the whole weekend too, and I was really okay allowing someone else to dress the bazillion Barbies Grandma had out in the basement. Norah was pretty obsessed with Megan!

It was super late when we got back to Grandma's after the fireworks. Maggie thought she'd just camp out on the couch... maybe keep Mom and Aaron company during those late night feedings.

Aaron's umbilical cord stump fell off on the 4th, so he got to have a real bath when we got home. Hooray! Look at that face... ah, bliss... he loved it! Getting his hair washed is his favorite part.
