Pumpkin Patch Fun
This morning we went to a pumpkin patch. We decided not to go to a pumpkin farm since it would be hard for Tim to get around on his crutches. Norah had a lot of fun anyway. At first she was kind of unsure of what was going on, but once I showed her you could touch the pumpkins she was alright. Then she had to go up and down the rows and touch all of them! She even kissed one of the pumpkins. We found her a perfect, Norah-sized pumpkin! They also had a small bounce house that Norah liked going on. She didn't quite get the hang of jumping or running around, but had fun sitting and being bounced and hitting the floor part of it. When it was time to go, Norah was not real enthusiastic about getting out... until I gave her a Tootsie Roll. I don't think she'd ever had those before, but she sure loved it! :-D Here are a few pictures.

New Ultrasound Pictures
Hi Everyone,
Jana had another ultrasound this afternoon and the technician said everything was looking good. I guess they were able to take a look at everything they couldn't see before. We got four pictures form the appointment, two of the face and two of the feet. Jana and I both agree that the baby has her nose. Her next checkup is on October 28 and she has to do the glucose on Monday. It will be a busy week.

New Pictures
October Already?!
We can't believe it's already October, almost mid-October even. Temperatures have finally gone down here. We haven't had the air on for about 2 weeks now! This weekend it got up to about 80, but that's been the highest in the recent past. I love that I can take more walks with Norah now that the weather is cooler and we don't overheat every time!
Some brief news and updates:
* Tim is now on crutches. He hurt his foot again the other day and went back in to the doctor. X-rays showed some healing, but his fracture did look just a little worse. Doctor said he gap was wider. Next week he'll also be getting a new "boot" with a bone growth stimulator.
* I am at 24 weeks now. I continue to exercise and/or take 2-3 mile walks every day. I sure love all those good endorphins you get when you're finished. My blood pressure is really good (maybe this time it won't be a concern) and I've gained almost 10 pounds now. Baby moves all the time, getting stronger.
* Norah is a walking, talking whirlwind these days. She says many of the usual first words, but our favorites are airplane and highlighter. She's also learned that cows say moo and began saying "nose" today (sort of). She is really good at body parts! One of her other favorite things to do is pat or rub my belly and say hi baby. "Hi baby" was her first 2-word phrase!
